The Huntsman Tavern offers a great central location close to everything you'll need in Salisbury, and many guests appreciate being an integral part of a local pub where you can enjoy a beer. Rooms are often described as spacious and clean, some include a sink and wardrobe, with comfortable beds. The shared bathrooms are generally well-maintained, though some guests have found the separate shared bathroom arrangement a little awkward. the Huntsman Tavern is considered excellent value for money, providing an experience much nicer than a corporate chain.

Central Location and Friendly Staff

central locationfriendly staffclean linenworking radiator
The location is very central making it easy to reach the cathedral and markets. The staff was friendly and cute. Lou. Clean bed linen and a working radiator were certainly bonuses. I was.
The hallway carpets looked quite old. They had visible stains. I noticed the need for a new carpet to be laid down.

convenient central stay

friendly staffcentral locationsimple processclean bathroom
louise at check-in was wonderful. the location is on the edge of the city center. the check-in and departure process was simple. the street noise from my room facing bernard st on the second floor didn't bother me past 00:30 (it was quite peaceful!). i was there on a monday, so it was pool night. things quieted down by bedtime. having a pub downstairs was great. the staff member was very good. the shared bathroom was clean. the room had its own sink with plenty of towels and toiletries.
the sink in the room drained slowly. it wasn't a huge issue, but it was noticeable.
